World's Oldest Rattle

This is a photo of an ancient rattle found in Galilee. Many types of percussive rattles were found in abundance in home altars in Galilee.

How were they used? Perhaps these rattles were used by the ancient Hebrews to shake up and loosen blocks to flow. It was a form of waking up energy. Perhaps the women used them to reduce anxiety and fear. Perhaps the percussion was used to wake up energy as well as to quiet it.

When energy is static, it gets stuck. We hold onto it and this creates stress.

When rhythm is played consciously, it can help increase more focus, as well as balance polarities in the body. You can hear this in the ancient hebrew vocal meditation.
